Spring Rain and a Bit of Flooding

Graphic Garden It’s raining this afternoon. We just saw a bluebird which fascinates us because bluebirds are scarce, not so much in our area, but on our property, more’s the pity. As are cardinals. We just about trip over each other when someone spies a cardinal in the trees. I can’t imagine what it would be like to see a flock of birds with such vibrant color. Robins are plentiful now, finally, and the trill of the red-winged blackbird can be heard (which always says spring to me) so I am enjoying myself no matter the weather.

I text-messaged Jack this morning. “We see swans. Grin” The snow has melted from the neighbor’s field and created a little pond which was filled with ducks and Canadian Geese and two white swans. We got out the spotting scope and watched them for awhile. They are so beautiful. The kids are off for a walk down by the river. The water is flooding the banks. I’ll see if they bring back some good photos. And they did.
