A Week of Living

It is almost the weekend again, and I had planned to blog early in the week about two recipes Molly and I tried last weekend. She made Lemon Crumb Muffins because the picture of them begged us to, not to mention the name. I gravitate toward anything with a crumb top. Open-mouthed smile They were very good. After baking, you drizzle a glaze over them, a very lemony glaze and they were yummy, almost pound cake – like. If you try the recipe, it yields a very large number. Even halved we ended up with two full pans of muffins.

I tried a beef stew recipe because my people here are always hankering for a good beef stew. I love All because of the comments which are full of suggestions and indicators of the quality of the recipe. The stew turned out wonderfully, just like you hope it will, and was such a simple recipe to make. I also ran across a blog that I want to go back and peruse called Kittencal’s Kitchen. Someone on mentioned Kittencal’s recipes are all 5 star. Smile

dimeI finished reading Love Starts With Elle so I could return it to the library and begin to read on my Kindle in earnest. I started a book I found free recently, Love on a Dime. I might review Love Starts With Elle. I still don’t know how I really feel about it.

We are, dare I say, wildly excited about the upcoming Super Bowl this weekend. With all his fickle ways and his recent texting shenanigans, Brett Favre surely lost favor with a great many Packer fans. We are plen-ty happy with Aaron Rodgers. Open-mouthed smile We love our team – so many great players.101226_02_4-3

  1. Pam, I haven't been blogging in a long while, mainly because I am just busy. Very busy. Homeschooling, family, & just life in general keep me busy. So blogging has taken a backseat. I have been thinking of you so much, so decided to come & see if you had posted. I see you are also quite busy. :)

The muffins look sooooo good! I love lemon, & I just know I would love these, & most likely pack on a few pounds, because I would eat....a lot. :)

I have a Kindle & loved it. I have now replaced that with an iPad, which I am 'wild' about! I absolutely 'love' reading on it. I love the page turning of the books on it. I will have to check out the free books that you mentioned, as I have the Kindle app on my iPad.

I was happy on Super Bowl day too! The Packers are my team. So, did you like the outcome??? :)

Are you watching AI this year? If so, who is your favorite?

Hope to hear from you Pam. I truly do miss you. Sending you big hugs!! Love you

  2. Hi Pam, I don't have an Ipad, just my trusty laptop that lets me play on my farms. I guess we are all a little sheep crazy at the moment. I am in the process of retiring and I am enjoying my 3 grandkids. Just wanted to say hi. Hugs and blessings.
